Welcome to the team! We’re so glad you’re here. 💚
This guide covers everything you need to know to get started! 

🌊 What to Expect

• We are one team: Pre-Team + B Meets + A Meets
• Season includes:
  • Time Trials (kickoff meet)
  • Wednesday B Meets (everyone swims)
  • Saturday A Meets (coach-selected)
• Focus = fun, improvement, and team spirit

🗓️ Your First 3 Steps

1️⃣ Register + Set Up Your Account

• Log into Swimtopia
• Add your swimmers
• Double-check contact info

2️⃣ Understand Meet Sign-Ups (SUPER IMPORTANT)

✔️ Every week you MUST RSVP for your swimmer

A Meets (Saturdays)

• Coaches choose swimmers and events
• You must mark YES or NO by Wednesday 9pm

B Meets (Wednesdays)

• You choose events
• Deadline: Sunday 9pm
• No late entries

👉 If you forget → your swimmer can’t swim that week

Weekly Limits

• Max 3 events + IM
• Can’t swim the same event twice in one week

3️⃣ Sign Up for Volunteer Jobs

• Each family completes 6 jobs
• Sign up through Swimtopia under each event

⚠️ Not completing jobs = $250 fee

🏊 Practice Basics

• Show up 15 minutes early
• Swimmers must be able to swim the length of the pool
• Morning practices are best (more space)
• Coaches run practice → no interruptions on deck

⏱️ Don’t Miss: Time Trials

• Early-season “practice meet”
• Sets your swimmer’s starting times
• Helps determine first A Meet lineup

👉 Declare by Tuesday at noon

👨👩👧 Parent Expectations

✔️ Do:

• Cheer for ALL swimmers 🙌
• Volunteer
• Help your swimmer get to events on time
• Email coaches with questions

❌ Don’t:

• Go on deck during meets/practice
• Interrupt coaches
• Miss deadlines
• Leave kids unsupervised
